Kenorei or Robam Kenor is one of Cambodian(Khmer) traditional dance depicting a group of charity a half-human, half-bird creatures dance in the Lotus pond, which is often performed at the Royal ballet of Cambodia.
1. Etymology
The word robam Khmer language is called the traditional dance. One of the earliest recordings of Khmer dance: robam / slaves in Cambodia since the 6th century, where performances were used as a funeral rite for kings. During the Angkor period, dance was ritually performed at temples. Kenorei is derived from the Sanskrit Kinnari for a female half-human, half-bird creatures were thought to dwell in the Himalayas. 3. Characters and costumes
